Glen Allen, VA– Following the return of the US Senate on Monday, Andrew Knaggs, Republican candidate for Virginia’s 7th District, candidate for Virginia’s 7th District, directly challenged House Democrats and Abigail Spanberger for not returning to work.

“During an unprecedented health crisis, skyrocketing unemployment, and growing financial problems, it is unfathomable that Nancy Pelosi would not convene the House of Representatives,” said Knaggs. “Abigail Spanberger should be banging down Pelosi’s door to get back to work for the 7th District.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell reconvened the US Senate on Monday.

In his statement McConnell said “We’ve got a whole lot of other people showing up for work during the pandemic. It’s time for the Senate to do that as well…”

On Monday morning, Speaker Nancy Pelosi decided she would not be bringing the House back in to session.

“There is serious work to be done right now and the Democrats continue to show us that they are not serious about that work,” concluded Knaggs.
